Nistanni (Elfindrow)

The Elfindrow are a strange race. They hail from just outside the known region of space, in an area known for spatial anomalies. They are a race of slender humanoids, averaging just over 1.8 meters, and having very dark skin tone. Their most noticeable physical feature is their pointed ears. Their life span is around 300 yeas or so, but they consider 1 year to be roughly three fifths the human standard, so at 60 in their years, is roughly 20 human.
The biggest quirk of the race, is that many males are born without the capability for sight, due to not having eyes, but this does not mean that they cannot see. Their other senses usually compensate for their lack of vision by the time they are 30 (12 human). All members of the Nistanni, are blessed (cursed) with a personal energy field, that their elders, do not believe is part of the Force or is interlinked with the force in any way. This energy field surrounds their body to a maximum of 8 centimeters. They can compress this field to make it more strong. The energy field combines with their strength rating to form the Energy Disruption Field (EDF). All incoming energy attacks must denergy fieldeat this EDF benergy fieldore it can harm the nistanni.
On the down side, due to the energy field's disruption of all forms of energy, this hinders their usage of blasters, comlinks and the like. Due to this energy field, many of the race have shown a natural aptitude for martial arts and melee weapons, being able to surpass the level of skill of nearly any other race. The imperials consider the whole race to be interdicted, meaning that any found will be killed on sight, due to emperor palpaltine attempted to eradicate the race benergy fieldore, as he considered their energy field to be a threat.

Famous Nistanni:
The two most known Nistanni in known space are "Blindfury" (shitana keritsu), and "Gateway" (mortazanu keritsu). Fury's power is that of energy containment/renergy fieldlection. He can store incoming energy attacks and then release it as if he were a living energy weapon. Gateway's is the power of rifting. She can open a "door" through space, at the cost of two hours of preparation for the base 4 light years travel, and every additional hour of prep or force point spent (others can add to this) increases the distance by 1 light year. If she is disrupted energy field or completing the doorway, she suffers an energy backlash of 8D damage, although this cannot kill her, just put her comatose. If a Jedi helps out by pushing (by putting force points into it), he also gets to add his alter dice pool as if each dice were 2 points. The base diameter of the door is 10 feet, and instead of increasing the range, the additional points spent can be used to enlarge the door.

Special Abilities: Energy (Disruption) Field
The standard energy field of all Nistanni is 2D, and they earn this at 25 (10 human) years of age. Prior to this, they have only a 1D field. This can be increased at the cost of 8 CP per pip added, up to 7D. After 7D, it costs 10 CPs per pip. The EDF is energy field + STR. All incoming energy attacks (including lightsabers) must denergy fieldeat the EDF, and if successful, the Nistanni rolls 1D less for strength to soak damage. Their EDF has no effect on melee or brawl attacks. Other than for capital scale weapons, do not cap the dice for different scales.
To use a blaster or any other item of energy (comlink, datapad), roll 5 dice, and if under 40%, it works. Even if an item works, its difficulty to operate is increased by 2 categories (or if at heroic add +15), and if a weapon, half the range and lessen the damage by 1D.
If a player has his character's EDF at 1 inch or less, there is no chance for an item to work, but the wearing of thick gloves can offset this.For 80 character points and 6 months of game play, a Nistanni can create a special "energy field" power. Some such abilities are energy storage, energy hurling (like a lightning bolt), EMP wave, Rifting (creating a wormhole) and the like.
