Romas Navander

Romas Navander is a native from the planet Corellia. When he was old enough, he joined the Imperial Academy. He there was specially trained to fly most starships and starfighters. But when he became aware of the Empire's cruelty, he defected and then joined the Rebel Alliance. While he was on the Academy, Navander aquired valuable tactical skills. Once joined the Alliance he decided not to fly fighters or transports directly, he wanted to coordinate them. So he earned command as senior communications officer in Echo Base. He relays the orders to nearby Rebel starships.
