When Desanne was old enough to visit the Imperial Academy on Carida, he immediately left his homeworld Kalist VI. His excellent performances there allowed him to rise through the ranks quickly. His career was stainless - until a certain point just before the Battle of Hoth. Not sharing the Empire's views in all points, he expressed his qualms about its approach. This political blunder was not without consequences, so he was stripped of most duties and reassigned to a shuttle pilot.
But he didn't lose his self-confidency. He quickly developped to an elite shuttle pilot, transporting highly decorated and important Imperials. These now were more dependant on him than ever before...
