Redthorn Scoutship

The Redthorn-class scout ship dates back to the events of the raise of the New Order, and was manufactured by a small corporation called Tykannin Drive. Not many of these ships were ever produced, as quickly new designs with faster hyperdrives were released and thus replaced the Redthorn-class vessels. Nonetheless the small ship is a reliable scouting craft, but is very rarely seen these days.
Some of them are now in smugglers' or pirates' hands, and have been modified with secret cargo compartments for example thus reducing the official cargo space. Dorok Zalaster, an infamous pirate leader in the Elrood Sector once had a small fleet of eight of these vessels. Besides smuggling compartments he also modified their hull strength but as a result the maneuverability was reduced. If you ever encounter a Redthorn-class scout ship in Elrood Sector, you can be sure it's Zalaster's pirate group.
