It is a quite efficient model, featuring a fast hyperdrive and fast sublight engines, good maneuverability and strong shields. Like many other starships manufactured by the Mon Calamari, the MC-18 has backup shields. The freighter also has the typical characteristics of a Mon Calamri ship, showing many pods, bulges and bumps which give the ships an organic appearance.
