D9 Runner Light Freighter
The D9 Runner was a popular freighter in the days when the Empire rose to power. It was also one of Kuat Drive Yards first transport designs. The ship gained its popularity as it was considered one of the most efficient freighters in those days. It was relatively cheap, had reliable shields and good weaponry. The D9 was later replaced by its successor, the D11 featuring improved sublight engines and even better weaponry.
