Corellian YV-545 Transport

Being kind of a replacement series for the famous YT-class freighters, Corellian Engineerings' designers came up with the YV series. Those, however, never gained as mnuch acceptance and popularity as the predecessing series. Most YV-class vessels feature a similar design, this being a long, tall and narrow hulls with cockpit at the top. The drive section usually features two separate maneuvering fins which make - bseides better armor and armory than the YT-class vessels - the YV-series truly superior to the older series. However, modification on these ships were much more difficult; this was one of the main reasons for these ships never reaching the grade of popularity intended by its designers.
One ship of this series is the YV-545 which resembles a quite untypically ship of the series, as it has neither shields nor weapons. It was designed for quick cargo delivery only. Therefore its sublight engines are more powerful than those of common freighters. When beingattacked, the vessel has to rely on strong hull plating and superor speed to safely escape the battlefield.
