Corellian YT-1760 Transport

Another represenant of the probably most famous Corellian transport series is the YT-1760. It was produced some time after the highly successful YT-1300 transport. The designers' intention were to improve the weak points of the predecessor models, such as slow engines, lack of maneuverability and hyperdrive. However, with all these features, cargo space of the tiny 20 meter long vessel was tremendously reduced. For this reaons it was not very popular within the large trade guilds, but it gained quite some popularity among smugglers and pirates for its excellent performance statsitics.
Although the stockversion comes unshielded and unarmed, it can easily be modified with some defense laser cannons and a light shield generator, but this reducing cargo space even more. Nevertheless, many important people used such a modified version for shuttle flights, as featuring really excellent sublight speed.
